Publish a form
Drafts, live forms, versions, and what each status means.
A new form is a Draft. Only you and your collaborators can open it. Press Publish to make it live.
Publish
- Press Publish in the top bar of the builder.
- If something blocks it, Chaos lists it. Fix these and press Publish again.
- When it works, the button reads Published and the Share tab shows your link.
Changing a live form
Your edits save to the draft. People keep seeing the published version until you press Publish changes. Each publish makes a new numbered version, and each response stays with the version it answered.
Status
- Draft: not published.
- Live: open for answers.
- Closed: still published but not taking answers. People see your closed message.
- Archived: hidden from your Library. See Archive.
Change the status under Settings, in the Sharing rows: Close, Reopen or Restore.
Earlier versions
Open More, then History. Pick a version to see its questions. Copy into draft brings it back as your draft. It does not go live until you publish.
When an editor needs approval
If the owner turned on Editors need my approval to publish, an editor presses Request publication. The owner is notified and presses Approve & publish or Decline.
