Templates and import

Start from something instead of a blank page.

Everything you start this way opens as a draft. Review it, change anything, then publish.

Start from a template

  1. In the Library, press the arrow beside New, then From a template.
  2. Choose one. Yours are listed too, with Use and a bin to delete.

Built-in templates

Chaos includes 21 templates. Each has English and Arabic text, and most use the Lilac theme:

  • Feedback: Event or service feedback, Customer satisfaction (CSAT and NPS), Workshop feedback.
  • Events and registration: Event RSVP, Event registration, Volunteer sign-up.
  • Customers and orders: Contact form, Customer intake, Order form, Product feature request, Bug report.
  • Work: Job application, Job or programme application, Employee pulse survey, Team retrospective.
  • Education: Course evaluation, Parent–teacher conference booking, Research survey.
  • Quizzes and scoring: General knowledge quiz and Vocabulary quiz, each with ten questions and an answer key worth one point each, and the scored Self-assessment.

Save your own template

In the builder, open Share. Under Export & reuse, name it in Save as template and press the button next to it.

Import

Press the arrow beside New, then Import. You can choose a file (up to 2 MB) or paste text. Chaos reads:

  • A Chaos form file.
  • A Typeform form definition (JSON from the Typeform API).
  • A Google Forms API export.
  • Pasted questions, one per paragraph. Start options with "-" (or "[ ]" for checkboxes). Add "*" after a required question. A line starting with "#" is the title.

Press Preview to see what was found and any warnings before you create the draft.
